Christians Inspired Murder of Gay Activist
Rachel Maddow reports on the murder of Ugandan gay activist, David Kato last week. In 2009, American Evangelical Christians went to Uganda to talk about how to fight homosexuality. They claimed that homosexuals are trying to destroy the family and recruit children. Following that conference, Uganda proposed an anti-homosexuality bill that would imprison and execute gays. Life has been extremely difficult and dangerous for gay Ugandans ever since (despite the bill not passing yet).
Here is a related video of Rachel's interview with David Bahati in Decemebr of 2009. Bahati is the Christian who proposed the anti-homosexuality bill to parliament.
